Cancellation Policy

When a student registers for a course, which requires payment in full, they are purchasing space in that course. We understand things happen that are out of the control of students and High Point Training. Below we list how various cancellations are handled.

  • Student decides they will not attend and notifies High Point Training two weeks ahead of the date of the course, a full refund will be issued. Refund issued usually within 30 days, but no longer than 45.
  • Student decides they will not attend and notifies High Point Training with less than two weeks before the date of the course. A tuition voucher (good for one year) is issued that may be redeemed by the original student that registered or transferred to another student after High Point Training approves transfer. Vouchers and transfers usually issued in 2-3 days, but no longer than a week. NOTE: High Point Training may in fact determine a full refund is due based on circumstances presented at cancellation and may upgrade to a refund.
  • High Point Training determines that the students activities during said course are disruptive or a safety concern. Student is separated from course. If the course has not reached the half way point, a full refund is issued to the student. Refund issued usually within 30 days, but no longer than 45.
  • High Point Training determines that the students activities during said course are disruptive or a safety concern. Student is separated from course. If the course has in fact reached the half way point, a pro rata (rated hourly) refund is issued to the student excluding the actual course time. Example: Student is told by High Point Training after morning instruction they are being separated from the course, they are issued a 50% refund. Alternately, if the separation occurs in the first 4 hours a full refund is issued. Refund issued usually within 30 days, but no longer than 45.
  • Student determines that they are not prepared to go on with said course and chooses to stop participating in said course. If the course has not reached the half way point, a full refund is issued to the student. Refund issued usually within 30 days, but no longer than 45.
  • Student determines that they are not prepared to go on with said course and chooses to stop participating in said course. If the course has in fact reached the half way point, a pro rata (rated hourly) refund is issued to the student excluding the actual course time. Example: High Point Training after morning instruction is told by student they do not want to complete the course, they are issued a 50% refund. Alternately, if the separation occurs in the first 4 hours a full refund is issued. Refund issued usually within 30 days, but no longer than 45.
  • High Point Training does not cancel courses prior to the start time of the course based on weather reports. Our policy is to gather the group at the designated start time and location, and make a real time determination as to if the course can go on safely. If course is cancelled based on real time weather observations High Point Training will offer a full refund, or a tuition voucher may be issued. This is the choice of the student. Refund issued usually within 30 days, but no longer than 45. Vouchers and transfers usually issued in 2-3 days, but no longer than a week.
